Hi! 👋 My name is Cayley and I am thrilled to be taking over the Hello Wimbledon Kids page! Continuing to create a central point for parents to find fun, local things to do with their little ones.

A bit about me: I’m a wife and new mum to a happy little boy. As my ‘9-5’ I’m a qualified special needs educator, although currently I’m on maternity leave and just soaking up all the baby cuddles. I’m a fun-loving South African who’s lived in Wimbledon and surrounding areas for the past 6 years. I love red wine, braaing (bbq-ing) with friends 🔥, being in the African bush and exploring new places with my family!

As an ex-pat and first time mum, Hello Wimbledon Kids was a life saver for me. When you have limited family support nearby, it’s helpful knowing where there are play and support groups close by! Pages like this remind me of an African proverb which says “It takes a village to raise a child”. This really resonates with me since becoming a parent and that’s why I’m so excited to be a part of a community page just like this!

I’ll be working hard over the next few weeks on updating the website and making sure you’re all in the loop with the best local events, classes, and hidden gems, so stay tuned!

I’d love to meet as many local parents as possible, so please do reach out with any tips, favourite spots, or must-try classes. And if you’re a local business looking to connect with families, I’d be happy to chat about how we can work together.

We checked out Morden Hall Park yesterday to try their Easter trail. It’s a perfect little find if you’re looking for something local to do this weekend!

It’s £3.50 per child and includes a trail sheet and a chocolate egg.
Easy paths, full of springtime charm, and such a lovely outing for little ones.

The trail runs until Monday 21st April, so there’s still time to check it out this weekend if you’re after something simple and outdoors.

If your little one loves digging, building, and making a (controlled) mess, @sand_club_sw is a fun spot to check out! Indoor sand play means all the sensory fun without bringing half the beach home!

We love the relaxed setup - perfect for toddlers to explore and play. A little escape to the seaside, minus the travel! ☀️

We were kindly gifted tickets to this magical musical afternoon with @babybroadwayuk — and what a treat it was! 🎶

This was also a special outing for Cayley, who has recently taken over the Hello Wimbledon Kids branch! (She’ll be introducing herself very soon — but in the meantime, we couldn’t wait to share this on her behalf.)

From the moment they arrived at the beautiful church venue, the atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and full of joy. The talented performers took everyone on a sing-along journey through so many feel-good classics — from The Little Mermaid and Wonka to Frozen and Shrek The Musical - pure childhood nostalgia!

The Mary Poppins medley was a real highlight for Cayley, with so many happy memories flooding back. And watching everyone lift their little ones into the air as they all sang Let’s Go Fly a Kite... magic! 🪁💛

A wonderful, high-energy show for all ages — they left with full hearts and big smiles. Thank you for having us!

We took the train to @batterseaartscentre for Carnival of the Animals — a beautiful family concert performed by the amazing @chromaticaorchestra alongside talented young musicians from @musicinsecondaryschoolstrust 🎶🐟

Before the show, the kids coloured their own fish, which then became part of the performance — such a lovely (and clever) interactive touch!

The brilliant presenter, Jessie Maryon Davies kept it fun and engaging, and it was super relaxed — with space for the kids to move, dance, and just be kids.

Even though it’s not technically Wimbledon, it was so quick and easy to get there by train — and totally worth the little adventure.

We’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for more family events here! 💛
