Christmas Days Out Beyond the Borough

But don’t worry, there’s still plenty of Christmas magic to be found just beyond Wimbledon! From twinkling light trails and snowy Santa grottos to festive farms and full-blown wonderlands, here are some of the best experiences already open for booking for Christmas 2025.

We’re so lucky to have so much going on locally, but if you’re looking for those immersive Christmas takeovers, these are well worth the drive. Distances are shown from Wimbledon Station so you can plan your festive day out.

Ashtead Park Garden Centre – Ashtead

Dates: 6, 7 and 13 December

Distance: ~11.5 miles

Meet Santa, browse festive décor, and join family fun days with crafts, ponies, and live music at this friendly local favourite.

Dates: 20 November – 24 December 2025 

Distance: ~18.7 miles 

A Surrey family favourite featuring farm animals, festive crafts, a winter trail, and of course a cosy visit with Father Christmas.

Chessington Garden Centre – The Big Magic Christmas

Dates: 1st - 24th December

Distance: ~ 8 miles

A walk-through festive adventure packed with magical sets, animatronics, and a cheerful visit to Santa.

Dates: 22 Nov – 31 Dec

Distance: ~ 7.4 miles

The park transforms into a winter wonderland with themed rides, festive shows, and a meet-and-greet with Father Christmas himself.

Step into a world of sparkling tunnels, glowing trees, and magical displays along Kew’s world-famous Christmas light trail, a London classic for good reason.

London’s ultimate festive playground, packed with fairground rides, circus shows, ice skating, Christmas markets, and plenty of cosy treats.

Follow a magical woodland trail filled with lights, festive sounds, and seasonal surprises — perfect for younger explorers.
